Dr. Deer Retires After 40 Years
09/03/2013

Nacogdoches, Tx.- Dr. James C. Kroll retired on 31 August, 2013 from Stephen F. Austin State University. But, don't worry, Dr. Kroll will now serve as Professor Emeritus for Forest Wildlife Management and Director of the Institute for White-tailed Deer Management & Research. He also will continue on with his TV, research, testing and consulting. The Dr. Deer website will be the focus of his full attention, as well as developing course offerings for the new "Game & Fish University" on-line education program. "It is bitter-sweet to retire from university teaching after some 45 years in various programs at Baylor, Texas A&M, Salem College and SFASU," but now it is time to turn my attention to helping landowners, hunters and other deer enthusiasts realize their dreams," says Dr. Kroll.
